ATI-Normandy

Research programme

Scientific organisation

The project runs over 36 months and is organised around three main phases, from territorial diagnostic to adaptation policy analysis.

Phase 1

First and fundamental tasks

Literature review, data collection and infrastructure diagnostic

The first phase covers the literature review on climate change and transport infrastructure, and on QSE models. It includes data collection on Normandy's transport network (IGN BD TOPO), GIS mapping of at-risk segments, and infrastructure vulnerability diagnostic through interviews with professionals (SNCF Réseau, local authorities).

Spatial data

Interactive mapping

This interactive map provides an overview of Normandy's eight flood-risk areas (TRIs). It shows commune boundaries (IGN ADMIN EXPRESS), commune-level population, employed residents, and jobs (INSEE Census 2023); flood extents from the official TRI flood maps (DREAL / Géorisques); and motorways and national roads (IGN BD TOPO). Users can select different layers to explore the data interactively. For a full-page view and access to dedicated maps for each of the eight TRIs, click "Open fullscreen" below the map. As the project progresses, these maps will be iteratively updated and expanded with additional data and research results for each TRI.
